About Minneopa State Park

Minneopa State Park, established in 1905 to protect Minneopa Falls and expanded in the 1960s to add prairie and creek valley, is Minnesota's third-oldest state park after Itasca and Interstate. It preserves the 1862 Seppmann Mill alongside seven WPA-built Rustic Style structures. Since 2015, American bison have grazed a 330-acre enclosure that visitors can drive through.
