Frontenac State Park overlooks Lake Pepin from a 430-foot, three-mile limestone bluff on the Mississippi River southeast of Red Wing, known locally as Garrard's Bluff or Point No-Point. The bluff top holds a natural limestone arch called In-Yan-Teopa, a Dakota name meaning "Rock With Opening," and the park surrounds the town of Frontenac, once a fashionable resort in the late 19th century.
