About Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area
Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area reclaims a stretch of the Cuyuna Range where open-pit iron mining left pits and waste rock, now regrown into clear lakes near Crosby, Ironton, and Cuyuna. A paved 6.1-mile state trail runs through the park, and 30 miles of singletrack opened in 2011 as the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Park, an IMBA-endorsed Ride Center for all skill levels.
