About Big Stone Lake State Park
Big Stone Lake State Park sits on the shore of Big Stone Lake, the headwaters of the Minnesota River, split into a northern Bonanza Area and a southern Meadowbrook Area twelve miles apart. It supports deer, wild turkeys, pheasants, and songbirds, and is used for picnicking, camping, hiking, and geocaching. South Dakota's Hartford Beach State Park lies across the lake.
