About Banning State Park

Banning State Park stretches along ten miles of the Kettle River in Pine County, centered on 1.5 miles of Class IV rapids that draw kayakers and canoeists each spring to runs like Dragon's Tooth and Hell's Gate. Hikers can follow the state's first Wild and Scenic River past sandstone formations, potholes, a historic quarry, Wolf Creek Falls, and Robinson Ice Cave.
