About Beaver Creek Valley State Park

Beaver Creek Valley State Park protects a narrow valley cut by the spring-fed East Beaver Creek, prized by anglers for native brook trout and introduced brown trout. The forested valley reaches depths of up to 250 feet amid the farmland near Caledonia, showing the stream-carved terrain typical of the Driftless Area. The park was developed in the 1930s by the Works Progress Administration.
