About Split Rock Lighthouse State Park

Split Rock Lighthouse State Park on Lake Superior's North Shore centers on the Split Rock Lighthouse, built in 1910 by the United States Lighthouse Service and now among the most photographed lighthouses in the country. The restored lighthouse and its outbuildings are operated as a museum by the Minnesota Historical Society within the 2,200-acre park.
