Lake Bemidji State Park occupies the north shore of the 6,765-acre Lake Bemidji, five miles north of the city of Bemidji, and its northern half preserves a spruce-tamarack bog. A district of rustic-style structures built by the Civilian Conservation Corps and National Youth Administration in the 1930s is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
